Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Sherpa Brothers Treks will be there to welcome you. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel, where you’ll check in and enjoy a welcome drink at reception. Take some time to rest and settle in.

Later, you’ll receive a detailed briefing about your trek. In the evening, enjoy a complimentary welcome dinner hosted by Sherpa Brothers Treks at a traditional Nepalese cultural restaurant.

After breakfast at your hotel, our guide will meet you for the journey to Pokhara. Depending on your booking, you'll either fly or drive. If you choose to fly, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas from the right side of the plane. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you’ll check into your hotel and have time in the afternoon to explore the vibrant Lakeside area of the city.

Alternatively, you can begin the trek on same day by driving directly to Kade and start trek to Deurali. This option saves one day on your itinerary, allowing you to explore Pokhara after completing the trek.

Traveling by road, takes approximately six hours. The journey follows the Trishuli River to Mugling, then continues alongside the Marshyangdi River to Dumre, all aboard a comfortable tourist bus. Upon reaching Pokhara, check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the scenic lakeside surroundings.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a scenic drive to Kade, which takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive, it's time to stretch your legs and set down your bags. The trek will commence with a steep uphill ascent to Australian Camp, taking about an hour. This charming spot offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna range, showcasing the majestic peaks of Fishtail, Himchuli, Annapurna South, and the distant Dhaulagiri range.
You’ll have a refreshing break at Australian Camp before continuing your trek along the ridge, which provides stunning vistas as you make your way to Potana village for lunch. Afterreplenishing your energy, the trail will lead you uphill through a beautiful forest to Deurali, which takes about an hour to an hour and a half. You’ll spend the night in Deurali, a key junction for those heading to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) as well. Overnight accommodations will be provided at a cozy tea house.

Your journey begins after breakfast, as you set off along the right side of Deurali, venturing into a lush forest teeming with oak, maple, and rhododendron trees. The trail is predominantly flat, with a gentle uphill section leading you to Forest Camp, where you'll stop for the lunch.
Post-lunch, the trek continues as the path ascends toward Low Camp, gaining about 400 meters in elevation. The day is relatively longer than earlier day, but the experience is well worth it. As you walk in the dappled shade, you'll find solace in the serene sounds of nature—delight in the charming melodies of various bird species while keeping an eye out for wildlife. These moments will surely make your day memorable. Overnight stay in tea house.

Trekking to High Camp: Experience the Beauty of the Annapurna Range
After enjoying breakfast, your trek to High Camp begins—this is the highest point on your itinerary where you’ll spend the night. The zig Zags trail ascends gently through a stunning rhododendron forest, leading you to Badal Dada.
Compared to previous days, today’s trek is relatively easier, making it a perfect opportunity to soak in the breathtaking scenery. As you climb higher, the landscape opens up, revealing fewer trees and more barren land, offering a panoramic view of the majestic Annapurna Range.
Keep in mind that at high altitudes, your oxygen levels may drop, so it's important to stay hydrated and take it slow.
Enjoy an overnight stay in a cozy tea house, where you can relax and reflect on the day's adventures while surrounded by the stunning Himalayan backdrop.

Today marks the highlight of your Mardi Himal trek! You’ll rise early, around 4 AM, to begin your ascent to the viewpoint or base camp. Starting your trek at dawn not only enhances your chances of witnessing breathtaking views but also minimizes wind and aids your acclimatization to the altitude.
The trail to the viewpoint features a mix of gentle slopes and steeper sections, providing a varied hiking experience. During the winter months, you may encounter snow halfway up the trail, which can make the path slippery and challenging. If you're trekking in winter, it's advisable to bring crampons for added safety.
Upon reaching the viewpoint, you'll be rewarded with stunning 360-degree views of the Annapurna Range and the surrounding landscape. If you’re feeling up to it, there is an option to continue on to base camp, which takes an additional 45 minutes to an hour.
Reaching the viewpoint is already a significant achievement, and after enjoying some quality time soaking in the scenery, you'll retrace your steps back to High Camp. The descent is generally quicker, although the pace will depend on your personal stamina.
After a delicious lunch at High Camp, you’ll continue your journey downhill to Low Camp. This part of the trek allows you to recapture the sights you may have missed on the way up. Today is one of the longest  day on your itinerary, and by the time you arrive at Low Camp, you may feel fatigue—but in the best possible way, surrounded by the stunning views and cherished memories of your adventure. Enjoy a restful overnight stay in a welcoming tea house.

After breakfast, prepare for a trek that will take you approximately two and a half to three hours downhill to Siding. For those looking for an alternative route, you can continue on to Deurali and Dampus before driving to Pokhara. While this option is longer, it may be preferable if you have knee issues, as the terrain is more manageable compared to the steep descent to Siding.
Once you reach Siding, you'll hop in a vehicle for a scenic two-hour drive back to Pokhara. After checking into your hotel, unwind and enjoy a relaxing evening by the lakeside, soaking in the breathtaking views and the tranquil atmosphere.

Early in the morning, you will have a six-hour journey by tourist bus to Kathmandu, or opt for a quicker flight back to Kathamndu, upon arrival, checking  into your hotel and take some time for shopping, picking up souvenirs for your family. You will enjoy your last night in Kathmandu, resting comfortably at the hotel with a bed and breakfast plan.

Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight, or extend your stay in Nepal to explore more of the country.

➡️ Best Time To Do Mardi Himal

While Nepal can be visited all year, the best times to go walking and trekking to Mardi Himal are in the spring (late February – May) and autumn (late September-Mid December).

Autumn; The best time of year to do Mardi Himal / Mardi trek is supposedly in the autumn. With dry weather and crisp, clear skies, the mountain views are at their best. Since the summer monsoon, the countryside has been lush and green.

Spring; As the weather warms up in late February and May wide variety of trekking options become available. The gorgeous magnolia and rhododendron will be in bloom, even though the skies may be cloudier than in the fall. If you want to trek in Mardi Himal in the both fall and spring time, you should book well in advance because the popular trails can get crowded during this time and flight, transport and tea house fill up fast.

Winter; Generally, winter brings bright, dry days, though the evenings are bitterly cold at high camp & early morning at mardi view point. Winter is a great time for the Poon Hill trek due to clear skies and fewer tourists. Proper warm gear and cloth are essential.
