I did the Gokyo Chola Pass trek with Sherpa brothers in October 2013. Unusually for this time of year we were met with 3m of snow in the Gokyo valley and as a result were unable to cross the pass. However Pemba and Furba managed to re-arrange our itinerary so we were still able to get to EBC and Kala Pathar – even though we had very limited time. On arrival back in Lukla there were further challenges due to poor weather conditions but somehow the Sherpa Brothers team worked miracles to get us back to KTM to make our international flights. Throughout our trip we were shown the very best Nepali hospitality which helped to make a fantastic trip full of wonderful memories.
